Humanities and Social Sciences full fee bursaries
The School is delighted to offer up to 12 full fee bursaries. These awards will cover either the Home/EU or International fee depending on the applicant's fee status. For Home/EU students the awards will be worth £4500, for International students the awards will be worth £11,100.
Eligibility for the awards
The bursaries are open to full-time and part-time students from the UK/EU and overseas who are studying for an MA, MSc, MRes, MbyRes or LLM programme in 2010/11 in the following departments at the University of Exeter:
- Arab and Islamic Studies
- Archaeology
- Classics and Ancient History
- History (including specialisms in Maritime, Naval and medical History)
- Law
- Politics (and International Relations, and Middle East Politics)
- Sociology and Philosophy (including specialisms in the Philosophy of Science/Biology)
- Theology and Religion
These awards are open to students studying at both the Streatham Campus, Exeter, and Cornwall Campus near Falmouth. For part-time students the bursaries will be on a pro-rata basis.
To apply
Important note: If you have applied for the AHRC RPM Competition or the Politics ESRC Quota award you will automatically be considered for this competition and you do not need to complete the separate form below.
To apply for a bursary you must:
- complete Humanities and Social Sciences MA studentships and bursaries application form 2010/11 and submit it to Liz Hull at by 13.00 GMT on Friday 12 March 2010.
- apply for postgraduate study at at the University via the normal university application form. Please make sure your application includes two academic references. You must have applied to the University and have submitted all your supporting documents by Friday 12 March 2010 to be eligible, so please submit your application form as soon as possible.
Selection process
Short-listing for these awards will be done in April and May 2010. We will not be interviewing applicants for these awards. Selection will be carried out on the basis of the application form received. All successful applicants will be notified by the end of May 2010.
