Facilities in Exeter

In addition to facilities offered by Departments and the University, the School has a number of spaces available for postgraduate students to use.

Postgraduate IT suite

Located in the Amory Building, the IT suite  provides workstations, internet access, printers and other IT facilities for all of our graduate students.

Law library

The Lasok Law Library in the Amory Building holds over 40,000 volumes, including law reports and statutes from various jurisdiction, monographs, textbooks and periodicals. It provides a shared workspace for all graduate students within the School. We also have a number of dedicated workspaces for research students.

Amory Senior Common Room

Located in the Amory Building, this facility provides a meeting place for staff and students. The common room includes a seating area and cafe, and access to a roof terrace.  The common room is a social space where coffee, tea and light refreshments are served.  Daily papers are also available here.  Only staff and graduate students are eligible to be members of the common room so whilst being a social space it is also a good general staff area for work such as light reading, group work, discussion and catching up on emails. The area has wifi access.

Andalussian Cafe

The cafe located in the Institute of Arabic Studies Building, is available for all students within the School as well as the Institute.  Like the common room, the cafe benefits from spectacular views of the campus and surrounding countryside. It is used as a place to meet both socially and to discuss work.
