The University of Exeter has one of the best all round Politics departments in the UK. The Politics department was ranked 6th in the 2008 RAE for world-leading research and 4th in the UK for Politics in the National Student Survey (2009). Research income has grown with major awards from the Economic and Social Research Council, the European Commission and Leverhulme Trust
Research in Politics

Undergraduate Study
Exeter has one of the best all round Politics departments in the UK. We excel in research and teaching across all the main areas of political science including international relations, political theory, public policy and administration, comparative politics, public opinion and political behaviour and offer a wide range of degree programmes. ELECDEM kick-off conference
Early stage researchers from the ELECDEM Marie Curie Initial Training Network met in Exeter this week to take part in the kick-off conference for the 4 year ITN. ESRs and their supervisors took part in the 3 day event which included a presentation by Richard Johnston of the University of British Columbia. Representatives from each of the consortium partners were in attendance.
